What is the difference between plywood and density board?

Plywood - now it is mainly used for modeling the outer surface, such as the curved area, with good bending performance. Plywood generally includes plywood, five plywood and nine plywood. One in one is one layer, and some are called three centimeter plates. One centimeter is one layer with a thickness of 1mm. The veneer of each layer is 90 ° vertical, which not only increases the strength, but also reduces the deformation.
Density board is made of leftover wood and sawdust by hot pressing with glue. It can be divided into high density board and medium density board according to the amount of sawdust inside and the degree of compaction.
What is the difference between plywood and density board
1. Different production processes
Plywood is a three-layer or multilayer board material made of wood segments cut into veneer or wood planks cut into thin wood and then glued with adhesives; Density board is a board made by separating wood or other plants into fibers, using interweaving between fibers and their own inherent bonding materials, or applying adhesives under heating or pressure.
2. Different product classifications
Plywood is divided into four categories according to its bonding strength: one is weather resistant and boiling water resistant plywood. This kind of plywood is durable, resistant to boiling or steam treatment, and can be used outdoors; Class II plywood is water resistant plywood, which can be dipped in cold water and hot water for a short time; Class III plywood is moisture resistant plywood, which can be dipped in cold water for a short time, and is suitable for indoor use at room temperature. For furniture and general building purposes; The four types of plywood are non moisture resistant plywood, which are used indoors under normal conditions. The general purpose plywood materials include beech, basswood, ash, birch, elm, poplar, etc. Density board is divided into three categories according to its density: low density board, medium density board and high density board.
3. Performance and usage differentiation
Plywood is mainly used in building construction, interior wall decoration and door panel, etc. It has the characteristics of light weight and good flexibility on the exterior surface of the shape, such as the curved area; Density boards are mainly used in furniture manufacturing, building materials, vehicle and ship manufacturing, packaging materials and other fields. The surface of plywood is not as smooth and flat as that of density board; The moisture content of plywood is more stable than that of density board, and the moisture resistance of plywood is better than that of density board, and the nail holding force of plywood is stronger than that of density board.
